Solutions Of Foot Bath

September 9 2012 Published on #foot, #foot bath, #foot bath detox

Soaking your feet in hot foot baths relaxes them. They claim that the only thing that ionic foot bath treatments do is clean out your bank account. To pamper yourself, you should go to the spa and get a massage. Soak your feet at home in a warm bath instead.

Ionic foot baths are touted as a gentle, effective way to cleanse the body by drawing years of accumulated toxins. Those with fibromyalgia have made claims that the foot bath has cured their condition. Somehow this is all supposed to work by osmosis.

The medical community does not support the claims of the foot bath manufacturers. Even if you do not put your feet in the water, the foot bath water will still discolor. I was surprised to know that the color of the water is completely dependent on the amount of salt the water contains. Electrodes are made of iron, nickel or copper. Your skin will feel good after you use it because the foot bath produces sodium hydroxide. If you put two identical ionic foot baths side-by-side and soaked someone's feet in only one, the color of the water after 30 minutes would be the same in each.

A low-voltage electric ionizer releases ions into the water that is the first thing a foot bath does. The toxins are drawn out when the ions touch them in the water. During the detox the water is going to change a lot of different colors. After 30 minutes or so, you can look at the final color of the water to see how many toxins you released.

Is an ionic detox foot bath something that is real, or is it a complete hoax? There are a plethora of articles proclaiming the benefits of ionic foot baths. I question their judgment when I see that their site is littered with advertisements selling foot baths and treatments.
